The course is designed to provide participants with knowledge and understanding of the planning and budgeting processes in organizations (budgetting in public organizations, mainly), and appropriate tools for planning and budgeting, including project management. To become familiar with planning and budgeting as a management tool for the success of organizations in an era of budget shortages and increasing uncertainty.

Course Objective:

• To become familiar with and understand the essence of planning, its characteristics, types and components
• To become familiar with the planning process and its meaning
• To become familiar with main planning methods
• To become familiar with and understand the types of budgeting and their meaning
• To become familiar with and understand the budgeting process
• To become familiar with and understand the importance of an integrated work plan and budget
• To become familiar with the business plan and its managerial importance
• Learners will diagnose deficiencies in planning and formulate a proper planning process.
